Doesn’t like 2-factor auth

The app is good if you’re using a plain old username/password pair (which you shouldn’t unless you want to have your account hacked), but if you’re using a 2-factor auth chain the app simply won’t work. Not sure why it doesn’t use the standard Facebook Auth pages that would get the tokens cleanly, but until it does - its a non starter for more secure connection methodologies.

Solid app

Clean design. Works well after the update. Serves my needs nicely.

good app

really good app, it is all that i need to chat without opening the browser every time.

Good App

Very straight forward, simple, and easy to use. A great tool if you want to messege friends and not get stuck in the world of Facebook.

Works well

I like it because it’s not tied to my browser. I noticed you can’t copy and paste a image into the text area. Maybe I’m missing something.

Not cluttered.

Exactly what a messenger should be. Simple.

Does not work with accounts that are only a phone number

If you use messenger without a facebook account (i.e. it is only linked to your phone number) this app will not work for you.

Simple and Effective

Does everything I need with simple messaging and uploading files. The layout is similar to FB’s so there isn’t anything new to learn. Well done.

Ads don

Generally, this app works fairly well. However, the ads for the developers other apps are incredibly annoying when using multiple desktops. I have to shuffle the window around to the first desktop to even dismiss the ad, and it steals focus from everything else on that space. Pros: worked with my FB 2FA.

So nice

I used to have a different messaging app and compared to this one, the other one was horrible! I love how this one allows you to send photos right from the app and theres no ads. I havent had any troubles with it so far.

Some Problems; Bloated; Ad heavy

This client often loses sync with Facebook messenger. This happens whenever you put your computer to sleep. You have to restart the app. It’s pretty bloated to begin with (it needs 208 MB just to run it at startup) and the longer you run it the more memory it just consumes, even though it isn’t doing anything, so it has memory problems. This software annoyingly innundates you with ads to buy their other products every time you start it. You can’t make it stop doing this.

Convenience

It’s convenience when using in laptop of course. It has no error so far and nothing to complain about. :)

2 things I would like for the notifications

This app is, overall, great and very useful, I haven’t ran into any issues at all so far. But, there are 2 things I would like, both dealing with the notifications. 1. The sound for the notification is the tri-tone, if it is possible, could you think about changing this to the facebook messenger ding? 2. The notifications don’t clear themselves out in the notification center once I view them in the app.

Quick and Easy

I can keep this window open next to my iMessenger. Now I don’t have to go online and open my FaceBook just to talk to people

nope nope

It works, but I can’t reply from notifications. Later, I got a “try out other great apps” and just gave up on it. deleted.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I’ve only used it today, but looks like this was executed nearly perfectly with only a few display glitches. Awesome! Love that there are no ads and no push to pay for anything. Please keep it this way!

inconvenient

It seem like this app doesnt work individuals on macbook like how it works on phone. For some reason i have to deactivate my fb acc but i still need to talk with some of my clients on fb. But it keep on asking me to login to facebook acc in order to use it!
