This app is really easy to use and I have have no problems; smooth ride ever since downloading!

This is the best I have tried, no ads, no craps.

I’ve always wanted a desktop version of FB messenger so I could keep an eye on messages without getting distraced by FB itself. FreeChat works well, it has a clean interface, and it has all the same features that the mobile version of messenger has (stickers, gifs, chat colors, nicknames). There are a couple of additions that would be nice, though. First, I think it’d be better if clicking “Preferences” on the menu bar took you directly to a preferences menu, rather than having to click “Settings” on the popup menu. Second, it’d be great to have access to the Emoji, Nickname, and Chat Colors settings. I can see these things on FreeChat, but Id have to get on my phone to change them.

Better than I expected, especially for freeware! Does exactly what it says, offers the full functionality of FB messenger, including the GIF keyboard, which is a huge plus. There’s a few things to press through when you first log in, but that’s all. A must have app, in my estimation.

Love not having to open FB (or even be actively on it) to chat.

I don’t know how people live without messenger! I treat it as one of my body organs, the important one, you know what I am saying…?!

It works as promised. I just can’t get dektop notifications to turn on I click on it, but nothing happens.

Exactly what I need to still be able to communicate without being distracted by all the crap in FB

This is advantageous to me considering the fact that I can never get any work done when I’m talking to colleagues and partners while attending my university. This messenger app is indefinitely the same as the FB messenger you would use when on your browser.

I have no complaints other than when using “stickers” that freezes the app for me at times. I am on a Macobook Pro and I usually don’t have any issues with any other applications timing out. When it freezes I cannot get it to scroll down for stickers and sometimes I click on one, but due to the delay, it posts a different sticker than the one I intended to use.

i am impressed by this application and it is so helpful cause i hate using my phone to chat i use this mac and i really like that it is almost the same of the phone and also better in the desighn, it makes me feel so calm and happy while texting but there is only one thing i really need, wich is calls, i know it is going to be added someday or somehow but i just wish it would be added close enough that is all all posistive and it is all good and i rate it 5 out of 5.

This is a good solution for keeping in touch but not getting distracted by all the other stuff on Facebook.

This FB messenger app is the bomb. It’s free, its for your desktop, and you dont have to have FB open. Really save a lot of time and effort esspecially if you have a band group chat going on all day. We are called Over The Sun. Look us up… (Shameless plug)

El Capitan has been around long enough I would expect the developers to fix basic bugs. It keeps bugging out. Having said that, the interface looks beautiful and I am grateful that it’s free. I hope they fix it soon. :)
